My handsome fella Max...

I am sorry to have to say this sad, sad news. In the early hours of 20 th February 09, my handsome fella Max, passed away in his sleep, outside my bedroom. I love this animal with all my heart and soul, and i look forward to the day when we can both walk over the green hills and to the Damns again.

He was and always will be, the most handsome German Shepherd boy dog, ever, and he helped me get through some terrible times with my ex husband, and was also a great pal to Dan, and play mate to Bracken. He never gave up trying to hump her, even though she had been spayed, he loved her and she knew it! He was a rescue dog. We got him at 14 months old. Been hit over the head with metal crowbars and allsorts we heard. He didn't know how to play, or interact with other dogs when he came to us, but our Misty helped him to learn these things, and he never looked back! xx

He helped me after my surgery, in ways not many will understand. And he gave a fantastic cuddle too. His favourite food was raw carrots, and i'm sure would have been happy to eat those alone!

My guardian angels came for him, as i asked them to stay with him. He knew he wasn't well, and the vet had booked him in to be euthanised late that Friday tea time. I asked that my angels would guide him safely and stay with him until he reached his new home, one where he would be free from illness and any pain. I take some comfort in that he passed at home, in familiar surroundings, knowing that he was loved more than human words can ever say.

I can hear Max sometimes, and i'm sure Bracken can see him too. An amazing dog Max, and he will be dearly missed by all of our family and friends. xx

Love you handsome puppy dog,

A picture of my handsome fella Max....

My pooch max

Wow, what a day!
Max should have had an operation today, to see what the liver looks like, as per the scan. But, as he has made a remarkable improvment over the weekend, he is seeing the vet again this afternoon, and they are going to defer operating and treat him clinically, and see if the improvment continues!!!! And who said i hate Mondays eh? xxx

He continues to act like the jack rabbit he wishes he was, and Bracken our other German Shepherd, continues to tell him not tonight darling, i have a headache!!!! Thankfully, she has been spayed!!!

The sky is blue and the sun is shining, my dog is still with me, what else do i need?

I will keep the blog updated with his news as we go on with the treatment.

A wish for my Max

Wow, what can i say?
My Max, my wonderful blue German Shepherd, is having an operation in the morning, and we are all very nervous.

I would be very interested to hear from any GSD owners, who have encountered liver problems in this breed.

He is 9 years old, and 10 on thursday, but we have been told to prepare for the worst. Please, if you know of any treatments, at all, that may help, i would love to hear from you.

I will keep my blog updated.

Welcome to my blog!!!

Our family run business can source most items for you, if you can't already see them on our website. Contact details can be found on our home page.
We are avid fans of the German Shepherd Breed of dog, and have 2 of our own! This does have it's own perks, as we test many of the products we sell, in the jaws of our dogs, and if they don't hold much standing, then we won't sell them!!
We also do home checks, for 2 dog rescue centres, one GSD's and the other Huskies!!! We also try and help a bit, by supporting a cat rescue centre. These animals don't ask for anything from us, but love doesn't cost a thing, and i believe in paying it forward........who knows, i may come back as a dog or cat in my next life, then i would be in trouble, so if i do my duties in this life time, i hope karma will remember!
If any one reading my blog, can suggest any new pet products that may be worth me trying on our website, please get intouch!! I would welcome any suggestions....
